We have been very successful in recent
years in introducing new members to the flat code of bowling.
You don't need to buy a thing. Just conform with the *footwear rule* and borrow some bowls.
* You must change into heel-less shoes before going on to the green. Trainer-type footwear is OK in the short term. Do NOT arrive in the footwear you intend wearing on the green. We do have pairs of brand new flat-soled shoes that you could borrow.
