Lawn Bowls is a unique game played by all ages throughout the United Kingdom, and in many other countries across the World. 


You can play at your chosen level, from friendly social to competitive.


If you have the ambition and the skill, you can aspire to represent your Club or County, and if you're really good, perhaps your Country at the European and World Championships and the Commonwealth Games.

Christmas Party. 

An evening of Music, Food, Quiz and Raffle, to bring in the festive period.
All funds raised will be donated to Springhill Hospice in honour of Linda Murray who is currently under their care.
Bolton Flat Green Bowling Club 7pm onwards.

Winter Bowling

There will be three organised sessions each week during the Winter season.

Start time for all sessions will be 13.00 hrs.  Sign in by 12.45 hrs. to allow time to get organised.

If the weather causes a cancellation it will be posted on the Website, Facebook & Twitter as early as possible.  If in doubt, please check before setting out.

Tuesday will be a Social Roll Up.

Organiser: Ken Hayes.

Thursday will be Club Afternoon.

Organisers: Jen & Ken.

Saturday will be the Christmas Countdown

This will be a friendly roll up with a competitive edge.


Guidelines are:

1. Open to Full & Winter Members only.

2. Four players minimum (i.e. a pair).

3. Random draw with skips seeded, but teams can play in any order.

4. Games consist of 14 ends.  

If games abandoned by organiser on the day due to adverse weather,

at least 7 ends must be played for results to count.

5. If Pair v Trip - 1 & 2 in trip have 2 bowls, Skip has 4.

6. 3 Points for winner; 2 points for draw; 1 point for losers.

7. 50p per player: 50% to club funds; 50% prize money to top three at end of session.

8.  Two shots maximum on first end.

Entries are now being accepted for the Bowls England National Competitions in 2020.


Bowls England is delighted to announce the launch of a brand new online system for the management of national events that can be found at www.bowlsenglandcomps.com


All competitors are required to register at the top of the Competitions Portal to create an account.


Once registered, each competitor will then be able to select which events they wish to enter and proceed to the relevant payment pages, after agreeing to the respective eligibility criteria and Bowls England’s Terms and Conditions for entry.


Please note that a different email address must be used to register an account for each named entrant.


Entrants will receive an email confirming entry and payment into the respective events, and will be able to view all events entered within the ‘My Account’ area at the top of the page.


The e-mail will also be used to communicate draw information during the playing season.


The deadline for entries to be received is 1st February 2020.
